Recent headshot session for Douglas Elliman’s North shore of Long Island agent Parsa Samii. The goal of the shoot was to capture Parsa’s warmth, genuine character, and personality. Outside of real estate, Parsa is an incredible tennis player, very passionate tennis coach, and an amazing dad to two amazing kids. Prior our session, I learned a lot about Parsa so I could capture his true identity. I wanted to capture the things that make Parsa unique. We included a tennis racquet in several photos, his kids, and his positive attitude.
Kris and Alina Wedding - Nassau Inn Princeton, NJ
Alina and Kris knew their wedding was going to be simple, elegant, and stress free: there would be no bridesmaids and groomsmen, there would be only close friends and family, and there would be plenty of delicious dessert. Their wedding at the Nassau Inn, located in the heart of Princeton, New Jersey adjacent to Princeton University proved to be the perfect venue for their fall wedding.
wedding photographers often highlight the over the top elements and miss the subtle little details.
Just family and a few friends is what Kris and Alina said. 45 people people at their wedding in Princeton, NJ was the perfect recipe for a great time with their closest family members and friends. A great weekend for a wedding and a great place for a wedding. The hotel, weekend activities for guests, and the venue were all perfect.
Venue: Nassau Inn
Church: MOGOC

TestMasters LSAT Prep Class - Queens College
Recent shoot for Los Angles, California based LSAT prep class client TestMasters. This specific session was held at Queens College in Queens, New York. As to not disturb the class, with my tasks of capturing “active engagement and class participation”, I asked the teacher to work with several students one on one prior the start of class. Here I can instruct the teacher and the students to relax, move around, and add/remove certain objects (books, laptops, bags, coffee cups).
Having photographed for universities and schools I understand how to make learning look fun.
Sagamore Hill Fall Family Session
long island family photography locations
Sagamore Hill in Oyster Bay, NY is a great location for family photo sessions any time of the year. The main reasons I really like Sagamore Hill for family photo sessions:
No permits are required
There is plenty of space to pose without having other people in the background of your photos
Diverse scenery - Sagamore Hill has fields, shoreline, buildings, and woods providing different looks for your family session. We can start in the field, change outfits, and then go down to the beach.
Bathrooms - There are bathrooms for the kids and for changing clothes. You can wear one outfit in the field and another down by the beach.
Photography the sudran family at sagamore hill, ny
Rachel and Brian found me online with a quick Google search of “Long Island Family Photographers”. This was their first time hiring a family photographer to capture their family, as their son Max just turned 2. They were excited, but nervous. Being photographed is an awkward experience.
We started the family session with walking poses and a ton of candids. I really wanted everyone to forget they were being photographed and to be as natural as possible.
Central Park Fall Family Session
Fall family sessions in the late afternoons are my favorite. When the warm afternoon light hits the foliage and you add a happy family to the mix you’re guaranteed A++ photos. I last photographed this family back in the fall of 2015, when their son Max was an only child. Fast forward to 2019, Max now has his little sister Sage.
We agreed to shoot a 30 minute family mini-session at the Central Park Model Boat Pond, right here in New York City, and it really worked out well. Although, the kids had a hard time sitting still with all of the dogs running around and things to play with, we really knocked it out of the park. When photographing little kids you have to play with them, make compromises, and be goofy.
