MediaLink Event at The Whitney Museum - NYC Event Photographers

On Tuesday, we photographed MediaLink’s conference on digital media, advertising, investment, and emerging platforms at the Whitney Museum in Manhattan, NY. As NYC Event Photographers we are experienced in photographing events of all sizes, length (1 hour to days long events), and complexity. From a single photographer photographing 1 speaker or a panel, to a single photographer covering numerous simultaneous events at once, to a team of photographers covering dozens of simultaneous events at multiple locations, Jonathan Heisler Photography is ready. We are experienced New York City professional event photographers.

NYC’s Best event photographers are ready

Since COVID began in March 2020, the New York event photography business has been pretty quiet or even non-existent at times. Now that the New York Metro area is vaccinated, events of all types and sizes are coming back. We love the responsibility our clients give us in photographing their events and documenting their stories.

Event Photography takes us to some of the coolest places / venues NYC has to offer, and along the way we photograph icons. Today’s shoot featured Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, executives from major players in the media landscape (Snapchat, NBC, Twitter, IHeartRadio). Besides photographing the big names, we also focus on photographing:

  • Details of signage and room layouts - These photos are great for sharing with vendors and to reference when planning other events in the future.

  • Candid photos of people networking - Great for advertising and marketing the benefits of attending your event. Our event photos show attendees engaged and active at your event.

  • Posed Group photos

  • Panel discussions, Speakers, Q&A, luncheons, galas, and receptions.

our event photographers are focussed on helping you market and advertise your events. We provide photos immediately for your social media posts, PR statements, and emails.

Our service includes same day image delivery, full-resolution photos, full-image rights, and edits.

Central Park Bow Bridge Proposal - Hector and Janet

Congrats to New York City’s newest engaged couple, Hector and Janet!

Visiting New York City to Propose

Neither Hector or Janet had ever been to NYC before, but they both knew New York City was going to be a trip they’d never forget. Several weeks before the couple arrived in Manhattan from their home in San Diego, California, Hector inquired about our proposal photography service. Hector loved the photos we had photographed of previous secret marriage proposals across New York City; Central park, Long Island City, Hudson Yards.

When discussing how he was going to propose and where, I had showed him some of my favorite locations. Eventually, we settles on the area just after the Bow Bridge in Central Park near the iconic Bethesda Fountain and Bow Bridge.

Jocelyn NYC Headshot - Binghamton University Alumni

A recent headshot session for longtime client Binghamton University of alumnus Jocelyn. The photos captured during this session will appear in the Fall 2021 issue of the university’s quarterly magazine.

After graduating Binghamton University in the Spring of 2020, Jocelyn enlisted in the Army. As a Long Island, NY resident and military personnel, Jocelyn was tasked with working at the Jacob Javitz Center on Manhattan’s West Side during the COVID-19 pandemic.

NYC Headshot Photography doesn’t have to be done on a plain background when your background is as great as NYC itself.

For this assignment, I wanted to highlight the location Jocelyn worked, New York, and her service. The school’s magazine sent me a brief bio about Jocelyn and high level overview of the written piece. As a headshot photographer, I like to incorporate elements of the written word in to my headshot photos. A plain white background although effective at times, can come off as sterile and uninviting.

Ayden's First Holy Communion - Manhattan

The sacrament of First Communion is an important tradition for Catholic families and individuals. As an NYC family photographer and NYC Communion Photographer, photographing a Holy Communion is special. I have the responsibility of documenting a families special moment, a memory they'll never forget.

Communion Photographers are documenting memories.

iPhone photos are nice. However, so is enjoying your own event and living in the moment. As professional NYC communion and baptism photographers, myself and my team of photographers make it our job to document life as it happens. Our event photos document the moment as they happen. Our years of experience as family photographers provide you the confidence to not only feel good when being photographed, but look good too.

being a professional NYC family photographer is my favorite job

As a professional family photographer, I love photographing the moments that make your family unique. NYC is one of the biggest cultural centers not just in the United States, but in the world. Each family I photograph is so vastly different from the previous family. It’s such an exciting experience learning about your family, your kids, and having the responsibility to photograph your individuality.

Central Park Picnic - Kraft Center

There is no doubt about it that the post-COVID world is here. NYC is alive and Central Park, New York City’s backyard, is open for business. The Columbia-Barnard Hillel welcomed back current and former students with a Sunday brunch, setup by Perfect Picnic NYC, which was perfectly executed with blankets, lunch, pillows, and drinks. For some of the staff and guests they had not seen one another in 15 months.

Central park nyc event photography

Photographing a picnic in the park really made New York City feel alive once again. Guests were hugging one another, sitting closely together, laughing, and finally not wearing masks. I loved photographing open facial expressions, laughter, and all of the visual emotions that make a photograph memorable. As a NYC event photographer it felt great to openly be doing what I love doing, capturing great photos.

Kelly and Kenny's Wedding - Hollow Brook Golf Club Westchester, NY Photos

When June arrives the grass is finally bright green and the leaves on the trees sway in the early summer breeze. A beautiful golf course like Hollow Brook Golf Club serves as the perfect place to marry your perfect someone. At a quick glance all you have to do is make a list of their friends and family, wish for the beautiful weather, and mark your calendars.

getting your wedding day started - wedding photography tips

Our day started with getting ready. The couple chose a hotel in Katonah, NY at the foot of the Tappen Zee Bridge. My second photographer (photojournalist) on today’s wedding was also my business partner, Trent. We work so well together in capturing the story of a wedding day; from getting ready to the last dance. We both really enjoyed photographing Kelly and Kenny’s wedding day. Wedding Photography is more than just what you see on the internet or social media. There are the little details, which as wedding photographers we tend to geek out over, and the big moments, but we capture it all with importance. All of these moments and details photographed tell the story of you as a couple.

your wedding day is full of details. Have your wedding photographer capture everything. Most importantly have your wedding photographer know you and know what’s important to you.

Kelly and Kenny both grew up in the Hudson Valley area near the Hollow Brook Golf Club and thus it was the perfect location for their wedding reception. Their ceremony was at St. Barnabas Church in Yonkers, NY, which is also the start of New York City’s St. Patrick Day Parade. The significance of St. Barnabas to both Kelly and Kenny is they are both Irish, and Kenny is part of the NYPD. The NYPD has a large number of Irish-American officers in their rank and file.

Post ceremony and mass, we ventured up the Hudson River to the Peekskill Waterfront for bridal party photos, and several family photos. Then, we made our way to the Hollow Brook. Here it was time to photograph Kelly and Kenny. The light and temperature were perfect to capture wedding day moments.

Our schedule throughout the day ran with the precision of a Swiss made watch. Once our photos were done, Kelly and Kenny enjoyed cocktail hour, and the fun began.
