As a higher education photographer and as a general event photographer ,in New York none the less, I photograph a wide array of events with varying subject matters. I learn a lot about a lot, and a large portion of the time I learn about whatever the event I am photographing is about.

NYC event photography brings with it its many challenges; poor event lighting, small rooms, limitations on how long I can photograph. However, it also brings with it a variety of unique events to photograph.

America's VetDogs - Receiving Their Dogs

American military veterans met their service dogs for the first time on America's VetDogs Smithtown, NY campus. Over the next two weeks, the vets and their new dogs will train together. The veterans will learn how to work with their dogs, reinforce good behavior, and take care of their dogs. These highly trained and intellectual dogs can help their new owners with a wide range of tasks; open doors, wake them from nightmares, help them relax, and stand up if they fall.

America's VetDogs - 8th Annual Golf Classic

America’s VetDogs held their 8th Annual VetDogs Golf Classic on Monday, August 26, at the Huntington Country Club in Huntington, NY. This event raises additional funds to cover the costs to train and place the special dogs that are needed to help veterans return to a life of ease and independence.

Long Island Golf Fundraiser Event Photographer

The golf portion of the day began at 11 a.m. with the national anthem and a visit from Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. The golf match consisted of foursomes competing for several hole-in-one prizes. One of the hole-in-one prizes was for a brand new 2019 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck. Later in the day, golfers and guests enjoyed a post-tournament cocktail hour, followed by dinner with a live auction and raffles.

Throughout the day several veterans and their dogs toured the course to meet their fans.

Her brunch bridal shower was at New York City's Park Avenue: Autumn/Winter/Spring/Summer, which is seasonal New American Restaurant.

America's VetDogs - 6th Annual 5k Run

I had a great time photographing the 6th Annual America’s VetDogs 5k Run benefiting future service dogs, dogs in training, and veterans in need of K9 companionship. 2019 marked my 5th year covering this great event and I will definitely be back. This year’s special guest was Sully Bush, former President George H. Bush’s white Lab service dog (pictured center).

Georgetown University - Spring Lake Annual Alumni Gathering

The annual Georgetown University alumni and incoming freshmen event at the Spring Lake, NJ Bath and Tennis Club occurs on the last Thursday of July every year. Every summer, the event hosted by the Connors family aims to connect incoming freshmen and their parents with many of Georgetown’s accomplished alumni and current student body representatives.

This was my 5th year in attendance (crazy to think it’s been 5 consecutive years already).
