VetDogs Golf Outing with Service Dogs | NYC Event Photographer

A charity golf outing can be a great way to bring people together in support of an important cause, and this VetDogs event was especially meaningful. The outing brought together golfers, sponsors, supporters, veterans, and service dogs for a day centered around community, fundraising, and the bond between dogs and the people they serve.

As a NYC Event Photographer, I photographed the day as it unfolded, capturing golfers on the course, interactions with the dogs, sponsors, and the many candid moments that made this event unique.

Photographing Golfers, Dogs & Event Details

Throughout the outing, I photographed golfers as they made their way around the course, including tee shots, group photos, and candid moments between friends and foursomes. I also captured the dogs that were such an important part of the event, from their interactions with guests to the moments that showed the special connection between service dogs and veterans.

Along with the people and dogs, I photographed sponsor signage, branded details, and other elements throughout the event. These images help tell the complete story of the outing while providing photographs that can be used for social media, websites, newsletters, and future fundraising efforts.

Capturing the Mission Behind the Event

What made this golf outing particularly special was the opportunity to photograph the dogs and the people whose lives they help change. The event wasn't simply a day on the golf course—it was an opportunity to bring supporters together around the mission of providing service and guide dogs to veterans and first responders with disabilities.

The candid moments between guests, veterans, and dogs helped capture the heart of the event. From relaxed interactions around the course to photographs of the service dogs alongside their handlers, these moments showed the personal connection behind the organization and the people who support its work.

Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation Golf Outing | NYC Event Photographer

A charity golf outing brings together golfers, sponsors, supporters, and friends for a day of golf while raising awareness and support for an important cause. I recently had the opportunity to photograph a golf outing benefiting the Children’s Cardiomyopathy Foundation, capturing the golfers, sponsors, event details, and candid moments throughout the day.

As a NYC Event Photographer, my approach to golf outings is to document the full experience—from golfers on the course to the people and details that make the event possible. The resulting photographs can be used for social media, newsletters, websites, fundraising, and future event promotion.

Spotlighting Golfers & Event Details

Throughout the outing, I photographed golfers as they played their rounds, including tee shots, swings, putting, group portraits, and candid interactions between foursomes. These images help capture the energy of the day while giving participants photographs they can enjoy and share.

I also focused on the sponsors and branding that were an important part of the event. Sponsor signs, branded materials, and other event details help tell the complete story of the outing while providing valuable imagery for recognizing supporters and promoting future events.

Professional Event Photography That Tells a Story

Whether you're planning a charity golf outing, nonprofit fundraiser, corporate event, or private celebration, professional photography can capture the full story of the day. My goal is to create a gallery that combines candid moments, group portraits, event details, and sponsor recognition to reflect the experience of the event.

Patrick Lorio - Golf Course Superintendents Association of America

Long Island Headshot Photographers

When I met Patrick, the Head Manager of Turf at the Engineers Country Club, I asked him to show me his favorite spots on the course. In his headshot photos I wanted to capture what makes the course, the grounds, and it’s facilities unique. So, we took two golf carts out and drove around for a bit. As we drove, Patrick proved to be super informative and passionate about his role at the Roslyn Harbor, NY country club and about Long Island’s unique geography.

The best headshot photo is one that shows you as you. This photo will work as your LinkedIn photo, email signature photo, and as an all around identity.

“From the top of the 15th hole you can see the NYC skyline faintly in the distance. At night when it’s clearer the whole city looks amazing from up here”, he explained. Patrick also told me just how unique Long Island’s North Shore golf courses are in comparison to the rest of the country. Long Island courses naturally feature dramatic hills, terrific soil conditions, and shady tall trees. In comparison, when building a golf course elsewhere hills have to be made, trees have to be planted, and soil has to be developed.

So, how did the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America find this Long Island photographer? I’m certainly no expert of “country club club turf management”. The answer is simple, S.E.O. I’ve been working on pushing relevant and geotagged content to blogs and pages on my website.

America's VetDogs - 8th Annual Golf Classic

America’s VetDogs held their 8th Annual VetDogs Golf Classic on Monday, August 26, at the Huntington Country Club in Huntington, NY. This event raises additional funds to cover the costs to train and place the special dogs that are needed to help veterans return to a life of ease and independence.

Long Island Golf Fundraiser Event Photographer

The golf portion of the day began at 11 a.m. with the national anthem and a visit from Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone. The golf match consisted of foursomes competing for several hole-in-one prizes. One of the hole-in-one prizes was for a brand new 2019 Jeep Gladiator pickup truck. Later in the day, golfers and guests enjoyed a post-tournament cocktail hour, followed by dinner with a live auction and raffles.

Throughout the day several veterans and their dogs toured the course to meet their fans.

This Long Island Event Photographer loves photographing a Golf Fundraisers both here on Long Island and throughout NY!
