Congrats Victoria and Ian on your engagement!
Working with a secret marriage proposal photographer in NYC is easy.
Several weeks before Ian’s proposal Ian reached out to discuss how, when, and where he would propose. Ian chose Pier 17 on Manhattan’s East Side for its unobstructed views of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Bridge, and for its proximity to his Lower Manhattan apartment. Several times a week Ian and Victoria walk this section of Manhattan and take in the views of Brooklyn before going out to dinner, so tonight would be no different.
With helping Ian plan his secret proposal and setting up how I would discretely photograph the moment I asked the following questions.
What time are you going to propose?
Which direction will you be coming from?
How are you going to get her to the location?
What’s your Plan B if it rains?
NYC PROPOSAL PHOTOGRAPHER IN ACTION
Right on time, Ian and Victoria walked through Pier 17, and towards our planned location. Ian’s sister, visiting from out of town also came with them well knowing Ian’s plan. The weather could not have been more perfect, nor could the view of the Brooklyn Bridge. The second I saw the couple approaching I started photographing. Victoria did not suspect a thing!
After you propose, it’s nice to share the moment!
After Ian popped the question we took several posed photos and then did a mini-engagement style session along Pier 17 and throughout South Street Seaport.
