Surrounded by lush mature trees, the classic Upper East Side architecture, and the iconic Central Park sailboats gliding across the water, it offers a timeless setting for an unforgettable engagement. Thursday early evening, Mitchell chose this location to ask his girlfriend the BIG QUESTION!

Capturing the Surprise Proposal

As a NYC proposal photographer, my goal is to document the moment naturally and discreetly. Mitchell's proposal was photographed candidly from a distance so the surprise remained genuine and uninterrupted. I focussed on the lines of the pond to bring you eye to the couple throughout the proposal. After the proposal, we explored several nearby locations for engagement portraits, including:
