As a New York City surprise proposal photographer, I'm always helping couples find locations that offer incredible views without overwhelming crowds. Privacy is important. Battery Park continues to be one of my favorite recommendations, especially in the warmer months, because it combines iconic skyline views looking every which way, peaceful walkways, and plenty of nearby restaurants to celebrate afterward (great views too).

Battery Park is one of the cleanest and most well-maintained parts of New York City. Its landscaped gardens, wide walking paths, mature trees, waterfront seating areas, and manicured lawns provide beautiful backgrounds in every season, and don’t forget the views (Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center, Empire State Building).
