Secret Garden at St. Luke in the Fields

Tucked away behind the streets of the West Village, the Secret Garden at St. Luke in the Fields is one of the most private proposal locations in the West Village. Surrounded by seasonal flowers, greenery, quiet benches, and winding garden paths, it offers a peaceful setting that feels completely removed from the city outside the gardens walls.

Jefferson Market Garden

Hidden behind the historic Jefferson Market Library, Jefferson Market Garden is a charming proposal locations in the middle of the West Village. I’d say this garden differs from St. Luke as it’s closer to the busier parts of the West Village and it is smaller.

Little Owl

In theory, the show Friends was filmed here! The area feels quiet and is more residential than other areas, while still being steps away from the energy of the neighborhood. Make a brunch reservation at the Little Owl, a natural reason to go to X location at Y time while being dressed nicely.

When couples ask me about the best places for a Brooklyn Bridge proposal, they're usually looking for three things: iconic views, great photo opportunities, and a location that feels personal. The area surrounding DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park offers all three.

With views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan skyline, East River, and some of New York City's most recognizable landmarks, it's one of the most popular places to plan a proposal. The key is choosing the location that best fits the experience you want to create.

Where to Your Rainy Day NYC Proposal

Rain is one of the most common concerns clients have when planning a proposal in New York City. While locations like Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Gantry Plaza are highly sought after on clear days, a rainy forecast can be problematic. How are you going to convince your partner to go to the park in the rain? However, it doesn’t mean you have to postpone your proposal! As a New York City proposal photographer, I've photographed proposals in museums, historic landmarks, libraries, train stations, and yes, even in the rain.
