Devon’s surprise proposal at Riverside Park Pier 1 on Manhattan’s Upper West Side showed that a little rain doesn’t have to take away from a meaningful moment. With an umbrella overhead, the waterfront became the setting for an intimate morning proposal, with the Hudson River providing a beautiful backdrop.
The rain added a unique atmosphere to the photographs, while the umbrella became a natural part of the scene. After the proposal, we continued taking engagement portraits along the waterfront before moving into a more private, green area of the nearby park for a different look and a quieter setting.
