Hofstra Northwell's Class of 2017 became the nation’s newest doctors at a commencement ceremony held on Monday, May 8, 2017, at Hofstra University. Degree recipients were two PhDs and 72 MDs, including single parent Patricia Driscoll whose young children, ages 6 and 5, can add “doctor” to the list of words they use to describe their highly motivated mom.
