A Romantic Rainy Day Proposal at Central Park Conservatory Garden During Peak Spring Blooms - When it comes to planning the perfect New York City proposal, timing and location are everything—and sometimes, so is the weather. For Mike, none of that mattered more than one thing: asking the love of his life to marry him. As a NYC proposal photographer, I’ve witnessed countless beautiful moments, but Mike’s rainy day proposal in the Conservatory Garden at Central Park during peak cherry blossom and tulip season was truly unforgettable.
Embracing the Unexpected: A Rainy Day in Central Park
Spring in New York City is pure magic, especially in the Conservatory Garden—Central Park's best-kept secret. During peak bloom, the cherry blossom trees are in full glory, and the tulip beds burst with vibrant color. It’s one of the most picturesque spots in the city for a proposal. On the day of Mike’s planned proposal, the sky opened up and the rain started falling. Many might have postponed. Mike didn’t flinch.

I have photographed inn Central Park countless times, but the Conservatory Garden only a few times. I love discovering this part of Central Park every time I come up to 105 street. Not only is it picturesque and charming, but it also has some unique elements that made for the prettiest backdrops while we walked around, got to know each other, and created beautiful images for these two, and their pup.
