Successful evening fishing for Striped Bass near Roanoke, Virginia. Until tonight, I never thought Striped Bass weighing 30lbs and larger than 24” could live in a river.

Thanks to our two river fishing guides Matt and Ethan, both based out of Lynchburg, Virginia for an incredible day of fishing on the Maury River. As a group of 4 avid fisherman, our hired guides proved knowledgeable about all of their gear (lures, boats, water, fish), well prepared with gear, and equally as important with food (lunch, water, snacks). Our lead guide Matt took us on his float boats, 2 people with a guide per boat, down the Maury River in Lexington, Virginia.
