Marvin and Tessa's Central Park Proposal
Photographing Central Park Proposals
This summery Central Park Proposal was so much fun to photograph. I loved capturing the vibrant blue sky above the NYC skyline surrounding Marvin’s emotional proposal to Tessa. As New York City proposal photographers, Trent and I love helping couples plan and photograph the start to the next chapter of their love story.
How Marvin Figured Out Where to Propose in New York City
As NYC proposal photographers, we work hard to make sure that all planning is done discreetly and professionally as far in advance of the proposal day as possible. So, Marvin and I setup a time to talk about when and where to propose in NYC.
When Marvin was deciding on where to propose and telling me about his relationship’s story,, Central Park was high on his list. When proposing most people consider Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Times Square, and the Empire State Building, as some of the most popular spots to pop the question in New York. But what’s most important when choosing a proposal location is the significance a spot has within your relationship.
For Marvin and Tessa, Manhattan’s Central Park was and is there special spot. Hernshead Rocks, near Ladies Pavillion on Central Park’s West Side would be the exact spot in the park.
Proposal Photography is more than just capturing the big ask
When planning to photograph Marvin and Tessa’s proposal, Marvin mentioned they are taking salsa dance lessons. So, post proposal we took a bunch of fun engagement style posed photos. And of course, Marvin broke out the dance moves!
